Fxit Community terms of use

Last updated 2 November 2026

Fxit Community is a neighbourhood app for South Africa, made and run by Llewellyn Williams (“we” or “us”). By joining Fxit you agree to these terms. Questions: llewellynwill1@gmail.com.

Who can use Fxit

How to take part

In an emergency

Fxit helps neighbours warn and help each other. In danger, call 10111 or 112 first. We can’t promise that anyone will see an alert in time, or come to help.

What you post

What you post stays yours. You allow us to show it to the people it’s meant for: your neighbourhood, your group or your contact. Post only what you have the right to share.

Neighbourhood news

Each day Fxit writes a short story for each neighbourhood from what neighbours shared there in the last 24 hours. Only shared posts go in, never group posts, chats or anything hidden. Azure OpenAI drafts the story, and leaders can take a story down.

Price

Fxit is free for your first 3 months, then R149 a year. You add a card when you join, and we charge nothing during the free 3 months. Cancel before they end and you pay nothing. After that Fxit renews each year until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. You pay through Google Play in the Android app, the App Store in the iPhone app, or a card payment service on the web.

Responsibility

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury that comes from using Fxit, from anything posted on it, or from any arrangement, payment or meeting between people who found each other through it. Fxit is offered as it is, and may sometimes be unavailable. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that can’t be taken away.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time in My profile, then Privacy. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription made through Google Play or the App Store, so cancel it there too. The privacy policy says what we keep afterwards, and for how long.

Changes

When these terms change, we show you the new version to agree to before you carry on.

Law

South African law applies to these terms.
